Women's Softball European Cup Winners Cup B 2023: day three recap

16 hits and 15 runs in 3 innings were enough for the Challengers, Zürich (SWI) against Barbarians (UK) to collect their second win of the Women's Softball European Cup Winners Cup B, bringing their record to 2-1. Rio Lorena Sanchez, Cheska Ham, and Carmen Lutz-Demetz all went 3-3 in the game for Challengers good for 7 runs and 7 RBIs combined.

The Crazy Chicklets (AUT) won 12-1 over Medvednica (CRO). Kailyn Campbel (AUT) carried her team to victory. She went 3-3 in the game with 3 runs and 3 RBIs.

Titans (BOT) and Thunderbirds (ISR) arrived together singing and dancing in a covered wagon provided by their stay to entertain the crowd in game 3. Thunderbirds (ISR) opened the score in the 2nd inning when Pascalle Morauw singled home Ariel Argi. Titans (BOT) replied and managed to tie the game in the same inning. That score stayed on the scoreboard until the bottom of the sixth inning. Titans were able to plate 4 runs to seal the 5-1 victory.

In the evening game, the two undefeated teams took the field: Roef! (NED) versus Crazy Chicklets (AUT).

Player of the game was Marjolein Merkx (NED). She was outstanding in the circle tonight for Roef!. Marjolein went all the way for a complete game shutout (3 Hits, 0 walks, 9 Strikeouts). Credits should also be given to the Austrian pitchers tonight: Flora Kampichler and Emma Hanika. The duo kept the Roef offense under control limiting them to only 3 runs.
In the third inning, Briana Marcelino (NED) singled home Madelief Croonen (NED) for the first run of the game.

An inning later Kate Geldof (NED) scored the second run and an extra insurance run was added in the bottom of the 5th inning when Briana Marcelino (NED) collected her second RBI of the game by scoring Onaisha Franka (NED).

The game ended in a 3-0 victory for Roef.
