Bologna, Italy, is set to host the Blind Baseball European Championship 2023 on October 7 and 8 at the Casteldebole baseball field.

The EBSCA Training Camp 2023 is taking place from October 18 to 22 October 2023, in Diessen, Netherlands. Among the coaches leading the camp is Gretchen Aucoin, from the United States.

The WBSC Europe Baseball Scoring Committee assigned the individual awards for EuroBaseball based on the first 40 games, battleground up to the semifinals.

Spain defeated Great Britain 11-2 in the Gold Medal Game at the Baseball European Championship 2023 in Brno, Czechia on Sunday evening to become Baseball European Champion for the second time after 1955. For Great Britain its third silver medal after 1967 and 2007.

In a dramatic game for third place at the Baseball European Championship 2023 on Sunday afternoon at YD Stadium in Brno in front of almost 1,000 fans, the Netherlands prevailed 5-4 over Germany in dramatic fashion. Dashenko Ricardo ended the game with a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning. For the Dutch team it’s the first bronze medal in tournament history. They have captured a medal at every Baseball European Championship they have participated in.

In a historic move, four of the most prominent members of WBSC Europe— Czechia, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands — have forged a common agreement with WBSC Europe to introduce the Baseball European Champions League in 2024.

After surprisingly missing out on qualifying for the quarterfinals following the first round, Italy managed to clinch the best possible result in the relegation round with a ninth-place finish in the Baseball European Championship 2023. They avoided another surprise defeat by coming back in the eighth inning to prevail 6-5 over Croatia in the Saturday evening game in Blansko.

Host Czechia clinched fifth place in the Baseball European Championship 2023 with a 5-1 win over Israel on Saturday evening at YD Stadium in Brno. Timely hitting and strong pitching laid the groundwork for Czechia’s victory in the game for fifth place in front of more than 1,500 enthusiastic fans in the ballpark.

Greece defeated Ukraine 8-4 in the afternoon game in Horis ballpark in Brno at the Baseball European Championship 2023. With the victory Greece is finishing in 13th place in the final standings and therefore secured a spot in the next edition. Ukraine meanwhile gets relegated together with Austria and Hungary.
