Final Teams Announced for the 2024 Softball European Masters Cups

The 2024 Softball European Masters Cups are set to take place in Sant Boi and Viladecans, Spain, from October 23 to 26, featuring a lineup of veteran teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. Eight teams are confirmed to participate in the Men’s category. The ten teams of the Women’s category were previously confirmed in May.

Chinese Taipei beat Australia, tie Netherlands in Placement Round first place

Chinese Taipei scored all the runs they needed in the top of the second. Right-hander Zac Sohosky went the distance, leading Great Britain to a historic U-23 World Cup first win against European rivals Netherlands. Colombia scored five in the bottom of the first, leaving South Africa no chance.

South Africa used a six-run bottom of the fifth to come from behind and earn a historic win against Great Britain. The Netherlands came from behind to rally in the fifth and held to the lead to beat Australia. Chinese Taipei outscored Colombia after a game that was close through the fourth.
