The organizers of the Haarlem Baseball Week announced the participating teams for the 26th edition of the international baseball tournament. Besides host the Netherlands, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Japan and Chinese Taipei have confirmed their arrival. The “Haarlemse Honkbalweek” will be held from July 13 to 22, 2012 at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands.
BaseballSoftballUK receives Grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund
(LONDON, ENGLAND) (MARCH 6, 2012) – BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK), the development agency for baseball and softball in the United Kingdom, announced today that it has recently been awarded a grant of $160,000 (£100,000) from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF), administered by Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players’ Association. The grant, along with funding from Sport England, will allow BSUK to complete the first phase of its development plans at Farnham Park, Buckinghamshire to construct two dedicated 300′-sized fields for baseball/softball and one 400′ baseball field.
