Lithuania clinches gold at the Baseball5 European Championship 2023

Lithuania won the final of the Baseball5 European Championship 2023, securing the gold medal by defeating France in a closely contested battle.

In the championship series of the Baseball5 European Championship, both teams showcased their prowess in both offense and defense. Lithuania claimed the first set 2-1. In the second set, Lithuania ultimately triumphed 3-1, claiming the title of European Champion.

Both finalists France and Lithuania have earned the opportunity to compete in the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024.

The battle for bronze was very balanced, with Spain securing the third-place finish by outplaying the Netherlands in a 2-1 victory.

The Netherlands dominated the first set with a commanding 9-2 lead, but Spain retaliated in the second set, winning 4-2. The final set saw Spain sealing their victory with a 4-1 score, securing the bronze medal.

The Best Offensive Player awards celebrated the players with the most runs scored. Amina Taleb of France won the award in the female category, and Kristijonas Vicas of Lithuania earned the prize in the male category.
