Brazil started the I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Mexico with a 21-0 shutout over Indonesia on Thursday morning in Parral Stadium. They already led with 11 runs, when the South Americans put ten runs on the board in the seventh. The Asian squad committed eight errors in the loss.

Aruba had a perfect start into the premier IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship. They crushed Germany 18-6 in seven innings. They scored in six of the seven frames, highlighted by a seven-run rally in the fifth. Germany’s defense helped, committing a whopping nine errors.

Just one big inning was needed for Nicaragua to down Germany 5-4 on Friday morning at Cuauhtémoc stadium. They scored all five of their runs in the bottom of the sixth, erasing a 0-2 deficit en route to their second victory of the tournament. Germany threatened to come back in the ninth, but left the bases loaded to end the game.

Women’s BWC: Venezuela holds off Netherlands for 2nd Win

Day seven at the V IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup in Edmonton, Canada started with a 14-6 victory of Venezuela over the Netherlands. The South Americans filled the scoreboard in each of the first six frames en route to their second victory in the tournament. The Dutch team rallied for six runs combined in the fourth and fifth, but couldn’t make up the deficit completely. It is their sixth loss in the sixth game.

Women’s BWC: Canada dispatches Netherlands

Canada is remaining the lone undefeated at the V IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup in Edmonton. They dispatched the Netherlands by a score of 19-2 on Tuesday evening at Telus Field. After taking a quick lead, the Maple Leafs blew the game wide open with nine runs in the fourth, tying Japan’s inning high from prior in the tournament. The lone European team in the event avoided the shutout in the fourth. It was the fifth win in the fifth game for the hosts, while the Dutch team stays winless.

Australia’s Women’s Baseball National Team barely avoided an upset against the Netherlands, winning 13-11 in a thrilling slugfest at Telus Field in Edmonton, Canada on Monday afternoon. The team from Down Under came back from a 2-6 deficit, but nearly blew a 13-6 lead in the seventh en route to the victory. They are now 2-2 in the V IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup and keep their chances intact to reach the semi-finals. The Netherlands dropped to 0-4, but showed an impressive offensive performance.

Women’s BWC: Chinese Taipei cruises by Netherlands

Chinese Taipei has its second win at the V IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup in Edmonton, Canada. They crushed the Netherlands 17-3 in five innings on a sunny Sunday morning at Telus Field. They scored 16 of their 17 runs in the first three frames, highlighted by a pair of six-run rallies in the second and third. The three Dutch runs were their first in the tournament, as they lost their third game.
