"Together against Cystic Fibrosis" is the motto of the U-18 Women's Softball European Championship

The Local Organising Committee of the U-18 Women's Softball European Championship 2023 joined forces with the "Klub Nemocných Cystickou Fibrózou", a local association fighting against cystic fibrosis, an incurable disease.

For every homerun and every run of the Czech national squad, respectively 100 and 20 Czech Crowns will be donated to the "Klub Nemocných Cystickou Fibrózou" by the Czech National Association to join the fight against cystic fibrosis.

The Klub Nemocných Cystickou Fibrózou is committed to improving the quality of life of cystic fibrosis patients and increasing public awareness of this disease.

Donation boxes are also available at both venues - Joudrs Prague and Spectrum Prague - of the U-18 Women's Softball European Championship 2023

A photo wall was installed at the Joudrs Prague ballpark for players, fans, and coaches to send their message and join the cause against cystic fibrosis.

Teams and players donated hats, jerseys, and more to the cause for the Czech Softball Association to organise an auction for this charity project. The auction will take place at 18:45 on August 4, in front of the clubhouse at the Joudrs ballpark.

Cystic fibrosis is an incurable hereditary disease that significantly shortens the lives of sufferers. It mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems, but also some other organs. Patients with CF require lifelong intensive treatment, including daily inhalations and rehabilitation. Cystic fibrosis is not contagious. Patients are born with it and usually develop symptoms within a short period of time.
