The spring training organised by the Swedish Baseball Softball and Lacrosse Federation included a variety of activities aimed at pushing softball's momentum in Sweden. Taking center stage was the "Girls at Bat" initiative, accompanied by several engaging events.
Girls at Bat is an initiative initially from Denmark and now in Sweden, aimed to promote softball among girls aged 10 to 15. Following the success of its inaugural camp in Smedjebacken, the Girls at Bat session at Bosön drew double the participants.
Throughout the day, participants immersed themselves in a series of training drills, games, and spectating national team games.
The Spring event for Swedish women's softball brought together multiple national teams. The Swedish national team used the gathering to prepare for the upcoming Women's Softball European Championship. Games against the junior and masters teams provided valuable game time and challenges.
To elevate the level of competition, three players from the Swedish men's league participated as pitchers and catchers.
At the EuroSoftball later in September, Sweden is set to play in Group D together with Croatia, Finland, and Slovakia.
