In the meeting in Paris, from 27 th to the 29 th April 1953 the baseball delegates: Mr. Roger Panaye - President of Belgian Federation, Mr. Th. A. Blanchard - President of France Federation, Mr. Norbert Schoffers of the German Federation, Prince Steno Borghese - President of Italian Federation and Mr. Luis Barrio - President of Spanish Federation, met and founded the “Fédération Européenne de Baseball - F.E.B. - European Baseball Federation”.

The first five members were Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The first Executive Committee was: Prince Steno Borghese (ITA) - President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer and Mr. Luis Barrio (ESP) - Vice President and the first Technical Committee was Mr. Luis Barrio (ESP) - President and Mr. Josè Ramon Alvarez (ESP) - Secretary.

In 1954, the Congress was celebrated in Paris on January 11 th and 12 th. There was a change in the Executive Committee for the death of Mr. Luis Barrio (ESP) who was replaced by Don Ramon Arrojo de Carlos (ESP) as Vice President. In this year the series of the Senior European Championship started in Belgium with four teams and Italy won the first title.

On January 17th, 1955 the Congress was celebrated in Frankfurt a/Main and all the members of the Executive Committee were re-elected.

On January 8th, 1956 the Congress met in Milano and was accepted the sixth member: Netherlands.

The Congress that met in Madrid on January 11th and 12th, 1957, confirmed the old Executive Committee and accepted the seventh member: Sweden.

In 1958, on January 11th and 12th, the Congress that met in Amsterdam changed the Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) (resigned) with Mr. Franco de Vitis (ITA).

The Congress met in Madrid on January 10th and 11th, 1959, and elected the new Executive Committee: Prince Steno Borghese (ITA) - President (Re-elected), Mr. Franco de Vitis (ITA) - Secretary General Treasurer, Don Ramon Arrojo de Carlos (ESP) - 1st Vice President (Re-elected) and Mr. W.H.E. Posthuma (NED) - 2nd Vice President.

On February 10th and 11th, 1960 the Congress was held in London and the eighth member: Great Britain, was accepted.

On March 18th, 1961 and January 17th , 1962, the Congresses met in Paris.

The Congress met in Paris on March 16th, 1963 re-elected the old Executive Committee. The series of European Cup start with six clubs and the first champion was Picadero Jockey Club Barcelona (ESP).

On March 7th, 1964, March 20th, 1965 and March 19th, 1966 the Congress met in Paris.

The Congress met on March 18th and 19th, 1967, in Paris, and elected the new Executive Committee: Prince Steno Borghese (ITA) - President (Re-elected), Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Claus Helmig (GER) - 1st Vice President and Mr. Pierre Petitjean (FRA) - 2nd Vice President. On the 15 th April 1967 the Dutch and Italian Federations announced officially their withdrawal from the F.E.B. and the founding of a new “Fédération Amateur Baseball”.

The Congress in 1968 met in Paris on March 13th, and again in Paris, on April 12th, 1969, the Congress elected the new Executive Committee: Prince Steno Borghese (ITA) -President, Mr. Guus van der Heyden (NED) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Jacinto Barrio (ESP) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Claus Helmig (GER) - 2nd Vice President and Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - 3rd Vice President. The Congress brought the reunion of all the European Federations in F.E.B. After two years of absence the Dutch and Italian Federations were again accepted as members.

In Antwerp on March 14th 1970, the Congress elected Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) as Secretary General Treasurer for Mr. Guus Van der Heyden (NED) (resigned).

On 1971, the Congress met in Milano on March 20th and accepted the new ninth member, San Marino. The Congress elected also the new Executive Committee: Mr. Bruno Beneck (ITA) - President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Claus Helmig (GER) - 2nd Vice President and Mr. Aldo Lamia (FRA) - 3rd Vice President.

In the Congress 1972, celebrated in Marseille on March 11th, the “European Baseball Federation” (F.E.B.) changes the name in “European Amateur Baseball Confederation – C.E.B.A. – Confederation Europeene de Baseball Amateur”.

The Congress 1973 met in Amsterdam on March 10th and elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Bruno Beneck (ITA) - President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Richard W. Kermas (GER) - 2nd Vice President and Mr. Georges Lahuerta (NED) - 3rd Vice President.

In 1974 the Congress met in San Marino on March 16th, in 1975 in Barcelona on March 15th and in 1976 in Stockholm on March 20th. The first European Juniors Championship was in the Netherlands on 1974 with four teams and the first Champion was Netherlands. The first European Cadets Championship was played in Germany, in 1975, with three teams and the first Champion was Netherlands, too.

On March 12th 1977, in Amsterdam the Congress elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Bruno Beneck (ITA) - President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Richard W. Kermas (GER) - 2nd Vice President and Mr. Gerard Voogd (NED) - 3rd Vice President. All the members were re-elected except Mr. Lahuerta (NED) replaced by Mr. Voogd (NED).

In 1978 the Congress met in Antwerp (BEL) on March 11th.

During 1979, two Congresses were celebrated in Trieste. The first, ordinary on March 31st accepted the tenth member, Denmark and the second, extraordinary on August 13th during the Senior European Championship.

After the Congress 1980 in Paris on March 15th, the Congress 1981 was in Amsterdam on March 18th and accepted the eleventh member, Finland. The Congress re-elected the Executive Committee: Mr. Bruno Beneck (ITA) – President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Richard W. Kermas (GER) - 2nd Vice President and Mr. Gerard Voogd (NED) - 3rd Vice President. An extraordinary Congress met in Santpoort on July 16th.

On March 6th, 1982 the Congress met in Stockholm, and accepted the twelfth member, Switzerland and split the European Cup in two pools “A” and “B”. The first European Cup - B Pool was played in Sweden with eight teams and the first Winner was Leksand (SWE).

During 1983 two Congresses were celebrated: the ordinary, in Firenze on March 12th, accepted two new countries as members, fourteen at this moment, Malta and Yugoslavia and the extraordinary in Grosseto on August 4th, accepted the fifteenth member, Austria and changed the Chairman of the Technical Commission, Mr. Miquel Ortin (ESP) replaced Mr. Joaquin Rodriguez (ESP) (deceased).

In Madrid, on March 17th, 1984 the Congress split the European Seniors Championship in two pools “A” and “B” and the first “B” Pool was played in Great Britain with four teams. The first Winner was San Marino.

The Congress met in Zandvoort on March 16th, 1985 and elected a new Executive Committee: Mr. Guus van der Heiden (NED) – President, Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer (Re-elected), Mr. Aldo Notari (ITA) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 2nd Vice President (Re-elected) and Mr. Patrick Tugault (FRA) -3rd Vice President. The Congress also nominated the new Technical Commission: Mr. Miquel Ortin (ESP) – Chairman (Confirmed), Mr. Gaston Panaye (BEL) – Secretary, Mr. Aldo Notari (ITA), Mr. Jules de Pierre (NED), Mr. Olivier Dubaut (FRA), Mr. Ake Halvarson (SWE) – Members and Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) - Umpires Commissioner. An extraordinary Congress was held in Haarlem on August 29th.

On 1986, two Congresses met, the ordinary in San Marino, March 15th, and the extraordinary in Amsterdam on July 16th.

In Barcelona, the Congress met on March 7th, 1987 and made some changes to the Executive Committee because of the death of Mr Guus van der Heiden: Mr Aldo Notari (ITA) - President, Mr. Francisco Gomez (ESP) - 1st Vice President (Re-elected) and Mr. Patrick Tugault (FRA) -2nd Vice President and Mr. Peter Laanen (NED) - 3rd Vice President. The extraordinary Congress met in Barcelona on July 22nd.

The Congress in Paris, on January 23rd, 1988 accepted U.R.S.S. as new member (16) and the extraordinary Congress was celebrated in Firenze on August 22nd.

In the year 1989 two Congress were held in Paris. The ordinary on January 28th accepted the new member, Czechoslovakia (17th) and elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Aldo Notari (ITA) - President (Re-elected), Mr. Roger C. Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer (Reelected), Mr. Jules de Pierre (NED) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Bruno Lesfargues (FRA) - 2nd Vice President, Mr. Ramaz Goglidze (URS) - 3rd Vice President, Mr. Reto Blum (SUI), Mr. Miguel Pozueta (ESP) and Mr. Clarence Taylor (FIN) - Vocals, Mrs. Annie Reinenbergh (BEL) and Mr. Thierry Barraud (FRA) - Advisors. The new Technical Commission was nominated: Mr. Miquel Ortin (ESP) - Chairman (Confirmed), Mr. Gaston Panaye (BEL) - Secretary (Confirmed), Mr. Ake Halvarson (SWE), Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA), Mr. Olivier Dubaut (FRA) (Confirmed), Mr. Azdatov (URS) and Mr. Frans van Aalen (NED) – Members. The extraordinary Congress was also held in Paris on September 4th.

The Congress 1990 met in Tbilisi on February 10th and accepted the eighteenth member, Poland. In this year the series of the Cup Winners Cup “A” and “B” pool starts. The “A” pool was played in France with six teams and the first Champion was Neptunus Rotterdam (NED); the “B” Pool was played in Sweden with three teams and the first Winner was Leksand (SWE).

In 1991, two Congresses were celebrated in Italy, the first, ordinary in Venezia on February 2nd accepted the nineteen member, Romania; the second in Nettuno on August 9th.

In 1992, following the political split of Russia, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia, the Congress met in Praha on February 8th and accepted eight new members: Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Bulgaria. At this moment the C.E.B. members counted 25 as U.R.S.S. and Yugoslavia did no longer exist. In this year the first European Juveniles Championship was played, namely in Czech Republic with seven teams and the first Champion was Italy. Also the first European Super cup was played in Italy between Mediolanum Milano (ITA) (Winner) and SCAC Nettuno (ITA). In 1992 Baseball was included as official sport in Olympic Games in Barcelona and two European countries participated in the tournament, Italy and Spain qualified 7th and 8th on eight participants.

The Congress met in Stockholm on February 6th, 1993, accepted five new members: Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Norway, Slovakia (29 at this moment) and elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Aldo Notari (ITA) - President (Re-elected), Mr. Gaston Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer, Mr. Jules de Pierre (NED) - 1st Vice President (Re-elected), Mr. Olivier Dubaut (FRA) - 2nd Vice President, Mr. Miguel Pozueta (ESP) - 3rd Vice President, Mr. Lothar Seinige (SUI), Mr. Ake Halvarson (SWE) and Mr. Clarence Taylor (FIN) (Re-elected) - Members, Mrs. Annie Reinenbergh (BEL) (Re-elected), Mr. Dino Rossi (ITA) and Mr. Guller Eriksen (DEN) - Advisors. The Technical Commission was nominated: Mr. Miquel Ortin (ESP) - Chairman (Confirmed), Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) - Secretary, Mr. Jan Esselman (NED), Mr. Jules Vermeiren (BEL), Mr. Julio Pernas (ESP), Mr. Bruno Creiche (FRA), Mr. Peter Ström (SWE) - Members. The extraordinary Congress was in Rome on June 19th. In 1993 the series of the C.E.B. Cup “A” and “B” pool. The “A” pool was played in Italy with seven teams and the first Champion was CFC Nettuno (ITA); the “B” Pool in Slovakia with four teams and the first Winner was Success (MDA).

In 1994 the Congress met in San Marino on February 5th and accepted four new countries: Armenia, Belarus, Ireland, Portugal (33). Mr Miquel Ortin, Technical Commission Chairman and Mr. Bruno Creiche resigned and the following changes were decided: Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) - Chairman, Mr. Jan Esselman (NED) – Secretary and Mr. Giampaolo Reiter (ITA) and Mr. Emmanuel Dubaut (FRA) – new Members. The most important item of the congress was the change of the name: the word “Amateur” was deleted from the name and all articles of the statutes. The European Junior Championship was split in two pools and the first “B” Pool was played in Ukraine with eight teams. The first winner was Russia.

The Congress met in Haarlem on February 4th 1995, accepted the 34th member, Israel and decided to enlarge the Executive Committee with two new vocals: Mr. Steve Herbert (GBR) and Mr. Martin Miller (GER).

On February 3rd, 1996 in Praha, the Congress accepted the 35th member, Serbia-Montenegro.

In Paris on February 1st, 1997, the Congress changed a Vocal Mr. Lothar Seinige (SUI) (resigned) with Ms. Ann Murphy (IRL) and nominated as Technical Commission member Mr. Roland Hofmann (GER) for Mr. Jules Vermeiren (dead).

In the year 1998 the Congress was in Budapest on February 7th, in 1999 in Milano on February 7th and accepted two new member Greece and Cyprus (37) and in 2000 in Eilat on February 4th.

Germany organized the Congress in Bonn on February 3rd, 2001. The Congress accepted the new thirty-eighth member, Turkey and elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Aldo Notari (ITA) - President (Re-elected), Mr. Gaston Panaye (BEL) - Secretary General Treasurer (Re-elected), Mr. Frans Van Aalen (NED) - 1st Vice President, Mr. Alexander Ratner (RUS) - 2nd Vice President, Mr. Miguel Pozueta (ESP) - 3rd Vice President (Re-elected), Mr. Petr Ditrich (CZE), Mr. Ake Halvarson (SWE) (Re-elected), Mr. Martin Miller (GER) (Re-elected), Mr. Sam Pelter (ISR) and Mr. Mario Primdjanov (BUL) - Vocals, Mr. Radim Kepak (CZE), Mr. Fredy Steger (SUI) - Advisors. All the Technical Commission members were re-nominated: Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) - Chairman, Mr. Jan Esselman (NED) - Secretary, Mr. Julio Pernas (ESP), Mr. Peter Ström (SWE) Mr. Emmanuel Dubaut (FRA), Mr. Giampaolo Reiter (ITA), Mr. Roland Hofmann (GER) - Members.

In 2002 the Congress met in Sofia on February 2nd and in 2003 in Krakow. The congress accepted the new member: Luxembourg (39). In the Technical Commission, Mr. Xavier Mateu (ESP) was nominated for Mr. Julio Pernas (resigned).

In 2004 the Congress met in Madrid on February 7th. The congress approved the new Statute at the presence of 33 member countries on 39. Mr Jan Liszka (25 years President of Polish Federation) received the C.E.B. Golden Award.

Czech Republic organized the Congress in Prague on March 19rd, 2005. The congress elected the new Executive Committee: Mr. Martin Miller (GER) - President, Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) - First Vice President, Mr. Alexander Ratner (RUS) - Second Vice President, Mr. Gerard Vaandrager (NED) - Third Vice President, Mr. Peter Ditrich (CZE) - Secretary General, Mr. René Laforce (BEL) - Treasurer, Mr. Attila Borbély (HUN) - First Vocal, Mr. Ake Halvarson (SWE) – Second Vocal, (Re-elected), Mr. Sam Pelter (ISR) – Third Vocal (Re-elected), Mr. Eric-Pierre Dufour (FRA) – Fourth Vocals, and Mr. Osvaldo Vavra (CRO) – Fifth Vocal. All the Technical Commission members were re-nominated and the past Chairman, Mr. Riccardo Fraccari (ITA) was not nominated because he was elected in the Executive Committee. Mr. Jan Esselman (NED) - Chairman, Mr. Xavier Mateu (ESP), Mr. Peter Ström (SWE) Mr. Emmanuel Dubaut (FRA), Mr. Giampaolo Reiter (ITA), Mr. Roland Hofmann (GER) - Members. The new Executive, in the first meeting, nominated the past President Mr. Aldo Notari as Honorary President and Mr. Gaston Panaye, Honorary Secretary General.
