U-18 Women's Softball European Championship 2023: defined the top 8 European squads
The first round robin of the U-18 Women's Softball European Championship 2023 took place in Prague, Czechia, across four ballparks.
Over three days of intense competition at the U-18 Women's Softball European Championship 2023, the twenty participating teams played four games each to determine the teams advancing to the next stage of the championship.
After the first round-robin, the top eight teams emerged. From Pool A, the host nation Czechia and Israel secured their spots in the super round robin. From Pool B, Italy and Ukraine earned their places in the next phase. Pool C saw the Netherlands and France advancing to the super-round. Meanwhile, Pool D delivered Great Britain and Ireland as the two qualifying teams.
Czechia, Italy, and the Netherlands are the only teams to maintain a perfect record, each securing four wins and no losses during the first round.
As the championship progresses, starting from the next day, the top eight teams will compete in the super round robin to determine the finalists.
Teams ranked 9-16 - Croatia, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Spain and Germany - will enter their second round robin, striving to improve their standings.
While teams placed 17-20 - Slovakia, Denmark, Finland and Hungary - will battle to determine their final positions in the tournament.
