The tenth edition of the European Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy is set to start in Collecchio, Italy

The tenth European Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy unfolds in the town of Collecchio, Italy, from August 16th to August 19th, 2023. This annual event celebrates the development of softball in Europe. In 2023, EMRYT brings together 13 youth teams.

The European Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy 2023 is divided into two competitive divisions: the sport division and the future division. Both divisions feature kids under 13 years old.

The Sport Division, where only female players may participate, comprises four teams: the GB Cubs (GBR), Israel, Italy, and Joudrs Praha (CZE). These teams engage in a double round-robin format. The top two teams will proceed to vie for the gold medal, while the remaining contenders will lock horns in the bronze medal match.

The Future Division is divided into two groups: Future A and Future B. Future A features the participation of Medvedi Dubrava (CRO), Navarra Selection (ESP), Piranhas Beroun (CZE), Panthers Softball Klub (CRO), and Serbia. Future B showcases Austria, Joudrs Praha (CZE), Softball Club Princ (CRO), and SK Sever Brno (CZE).

Both groups will engage in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will ascend to a second round-robin stage, where the competition will intensify as they vie for the medal placements. The third, fourth, and fifth-ranked teams from the groups will battle for their rankings.

As one of the most significant youth softball events in Europe, the European Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy continues to play a key role in the development of softball across Europe.

EMRYT 2023 will be live-streamed on the WBSC Europe YouTube Channel. Additionally, play-by-play will be available on the WBSC Europe events websites: sport division & future division .
