After evaluating the National Federations' requests, WBSC Europe Board decided to shorten the gap between the Women's Softball European Championship and to organise the next one in 2024, adding it to the 2021-2029 planning.
WBSC Europe Softball Vice President Mr. Gabriel Waage said: "thanks to the success we had in Barcelona at twenty-third Women's Softball European Championship, I would like to announce that we will be back in two years: the next European Championship for women's softball will take place in 2024".
The call for organisers will be called in September, as per usual.
National Federations will be welcome to bid to host the 2024 Women's Softball European Championship.
The dates of the 2024 Women's Softball European Championship are still to be announced and will depend on the host and on the scheduling of the 2024 WBSC Women's Softball World Cup, set to take place in Italy.
The 2024 Women's Softball European Championship will be the twenty-fourth edition. In the last Women's Softball European Championship hosted by Spain in 2022, the Kingdom of the Netherlands took home the gold medal game, topping Great Britain in the championship game.
