One Month to Go: Schedule Announced for the Baseball European Champions Cup

The Baseball European Champions Cup 2024 is set to start on May 15 featuring some of the continent's top baseball clubs. Scheduled to run from May through August, the league will culminate in the final on September 28.

The Baseball European Champions Cup 2024 will feature four top European teams. VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe, Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg, Eagles Praha, and Draci Brno will vie for the title of European Club Champion in this newly established league.

The opening day of the league is slated for May 15, 2024.

VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe will face off against Eagles Praha at the Hellensteinenergie Ballpark Heidenheim. Simultaneously, Draci Brno will take on Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg at the YD Baseball Arena in Brno.
Both games are set to begin at 19:00.

May 15 will mark the start of a league that will see each team playing six games in the regular season, with three home games and three away games.

The schedule includes games all set to take place on Wednesday night on June 5, June 12, July 17, August 14, and August 21.

The top two teams after the regular season will compete in the final game for the title of European Club Champion. The final will be held on Saturday, September 28, at the baseball stadium of the top-ranked team.

The complete schedule for the league can be found here.

In a format change from previous years, all games of the Baseball European Champions Cup 2024 will be played at the ballparks of the participating teams, rather than in one venue over one week, in front of their home crowd, engaging more with fans, sponsors, and stakeholders.

WBSC Europe inaugurates this league in 2024, with the backing of the four participating teams, as well as the Czech Baseball Association and the German Baseball and Softball Federation.

The pilot for the Baseball European Champions Cup is set to launch in 2024, with ambitions for expansion and growth in the coming years.
