The Sofia Sports Hall is ready to welcome teams from all over Europe for the first-ever U-17 Baseball5 European Championship.
Divided into two pools, the teams will face the first part of the competition playing forty-two round-robin games. France, Bulgaria, Türkiye, Moldova, Latvia, Belgium, and Czechia will play in pool A; Lithuania, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Israel, Greece, and Romania will play in pool B.
The top 8 of the first round robin will later face the bracket to become European Champions playing one-off games to reach the final.
Sixty-one games are scheduled for the U-17 Baseball5 European Championship, played on two fields from November 16 to 19, 2022.
The teams will not only compete for the title of European champion but also qualify for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled for 2023.
After qualifying at the Senior Baseball5 European Championship in 2020, France and Lithuania took part in the 2022 WBSC Baseball5 World Cup, respectively ranking ninth and eleventh.
