The Youth Baseball5 European Championship 2024 in Clermont-Ferrand holds a dual significance. Not only teams will play for the title of European Champions, but they will also serve as a crucial qualifier for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup in 2025. The stakes are high, as success in the second World Cup will secure coveted tickets for the Youth Olympic Games in 2026.

Age requirements for the athletes taking part in the Youth Baseball5 European Championship have been changed to align with WBSC requirements – players must be under 18 years old, born between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2011.

Every participating country must provide a WBSC Europe-licensed game official. Requests for the nomination of officials (candidates for officials) will be sent when the final schedule is produced. The WBSC Europe Technical Commission will check their credentials, and those who are already certified will receive some refreshing online information, while those without will receive materials to be prepared.

In 2022, France won the first-ever Youth Baseball5 European Championship.
