Draci Brno – VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe 5-4 (Box score)
A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the tenth inning decided the outcome of the meeting of week-one winners Draci Brno and VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe. Simon Klacl walked on five pitches to push Jakub Hajtmar over the plate in the tenth to give Draci a 5-4 victory and a 2-0 record in the Champions Cup.
Heidenheim had erased a 0-4 deficit in the eighth with a RBI single by David Dinski and a three-run home run by Shawn Larry.
Brno had struck first, getting ahead 4-0 through five innings thanks to a RBI single by Filip Mostek, a two-run home run by Martin Kalabek and a sac fly by Arnost Dubovy.
Tomas Urbanek pitched two scoreless innings in relief to inherit the win. Mike Bolsenbroek got charged with the loss.
Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg – Eagles Praha 2-1 (Box score)
The Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg picked up their first win in two games in the Baseball European Champions Cup with a 2-1 win over Eagles Praha on Wednesday.
After Regensburg struggled for six innings against a strong Emmanuel Herrera on the mound for Praha they finally came through in the seventh. Daniel Patrice tied the game with a RBI single driving in Lou Helmig. Nino Sacasa followed two batters later with a RBI single for the 2-1 final score.
The Eagles had led 1-0 since a RBI single by Michal Anton in the third.
Kieran Lovegrove earned the win in relief. Herrera ended up with the loss, conceding five hits, two runs and three base on balls in 6 1/3 innings.

The four teams in the Baseball European Champions Cup will see a quick turnaround. The same matchups will be played next Wednesday, June 12 with the Eagles Praha hosting the Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg, while Draci Brno travels to the VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe. The game in Praha starts at 18:30, while the game in Heidenheim gets underway at 19:00.
