Czechia and Denmark qualified for the WBSC World Cup and more at the fifth day of the Men's Softball European Championship

On Field 1, Israel defeated Croatia with a score of 8-3, while Czechia dominated the Netherlands, concluding the game with a commanding 11-0 victory.

Over on Field 2, Spain secured a 7-3 victory against Slovakia, while Germany displayed their prowess, prevailing over Sweden with a score of 10-1.

In the defining match for the seventh-ranked team, France outperformed Great Britain, securing a resounding 16-2 victory, with three big innings at the second, third, and fourth, ending the game early due to the mercy rule.

On the last game of the day, Denmark and Belgium played for a spot in the Championship game. Denmark started strong, scoring 11 runs in four innings. Belgium scored twice in the fourth to avoid the mercy rule and continue the game. After a scoreless fifth inning, Denmark scored four times thanks to a single by ADELSBÆK, the second home run of the game for Valdemar TERKELSEN, and a hit by SVANE, to end the game 15-6.

Upcoming matches will determine the final rankings of the tournament. Tomorrow, Sweden will face Germany for the 11th spot, while Slovakia will compete against Spain for the 9th spot.

Netherlands and Belgium will vie for the bronze medal and a qualification spot for the WBSC Men's Softball World Cup at 15:00.

Defending champion Czechia and the home team Denmark, already qualified for the WBSC Men's Softball World Cup, will battle it out at 17:30 for the title of European Champion.
