Slovenia to host its first-ever international Baseball5 tournament

The Zveza Za Baseball In Softball Slovenije (ZBSS) - the Slovenian Baseball and Softball Association - will organise an international Baseball5 tournament on June 18, 2022. Entries are now open.

The players must be 15 and older, and teams must have a minimum of 2 athletes per gender on the field. The athletes will be provided with free accommodation and meals during the tournament. For information, ZBSS Vice President Ms. Darja Grimsic is available.

The Slovenian International Baseball5 Tournament is part of the campaign to promote Baseball5. The tournament will take place in Rogaška Slatina, in Eastern Slovenia, as part of a significant sports event including numerous tournaments held by Zavod Škl and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, and a sports film festival of the FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs).

The tournament can be beneficial for the teams preparing for the first U-17 Baseball5 European Championship. First stage and qualifier for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, the U-17 Baseball5 European Championship will be hosted by Bulgaria at the end of the year.
