WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Irish Group Recap

USA and Australia claim tickets to Finals 2024 at the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup Group A. Great Britain finished third after a great tournament remaining in contention for a Finals 2024 wildcard. Home team Ireland ranked fifth.

Defending world champions USA beat Great Britain in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group A final on Saturday in Balbriggan, Ireland to claim the first ticket to the World Cup Finals in Italy next year. 

Then, Australia beat Great Britain in the repechage game under lights and misty rain in the last game of the tournament to claim the second ticket. 

Great Britain finished third after a great tournament remaining in contention for a Finals 2024 wildcard depending on the results of Group B and Group C.

Chinese Taipei ranked fourth in the tournament, followed by Ireland fifth and Botswana sixth.
