WBSC Europe and Little League forge stronger bonds at the LL International Biannual Regional Meeting in Poland

This past weekend, Little League International organized its biannual Regional Meeting in Warsaw, Poland. In addition to the European Little League District Administrators, many of which are connected to the respective National Federations, WBSC Europe was represented at the meeting.

WBSC Europe President Krunoslav Karin attended the Little League biannual Regional Meeting in Warsaw, together with WBSC Europe Vice President Baseball Petr Ditrich.

WBSC Europe presented Pat Wilson, COO of Little League International, with a commemorative gift to celebrate the WBSC Europe – Little League partnership.

Other attendees included Dan Bonnano from MLB, former MLB executive Sandy Alderson, Little League International staff and guests.

During the two-day sessions, the attendees, from 13 different European nations, discussed current program initiatives and strategies, had round-table sessions to discuss and give feedback on current initiatives. The attendees were briefed on Little Leagues updated Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values, and on the agreement between WBSC Europe and Little League.

The regional tournaments of the 2024 season were confirmed, as follows:
Baseball:
• Little League (10-12 years) Qualifier​ July 7-11*, Kutno, Poland
• Little League (10-12 years) Regional​ July 14-21, Kutno, Poland
• Intermediate (11-13) tournament​ June 24-29, Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic
• Junior League (12-14) tournament​ July 7-15*, Chocen, Czech Republic
• Senior League (12-16) tournament ​July 1-7, Novara, Italy

Softball:
• Little League (10-12 years) tournament​ June 29-July 2, Kutno, Poland
• Junior League (12-14) tournament ​July 10-14, Ostrava, Czech Republic
• Senior League (12-16) tournament​ July 10-14, Ostrava, Czech Republic

*As there are a few tournaments with a risk of overlapping the dates might be modified – please contact the Little League Regional Office for more details.

As for the Little League Regional Tournament, two teams from the Qualifier will advance to the Regional Tournament, together with the pre-qualified teams from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and United Kingdom.
