The U-10 Baseball Super Cup kicks off from May 31st to June 2nd
The Baseball Super Cup 2024 is coming back with its 13th edition, scheduled to take place in the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic, from May 31st to June 2nd, 2024.
Organized by the collaborative efforts of the Institute of Baseball Development, baseball club Sokol Hluboká nad Vltavou, and the unwavering support of the Czech Baseball Association (CBA), this Coach-Pitch Baseball tournament is a celebration of youthful athleticism and international cooperation.
The tournament focuses on the U-10 category, welcoming kids up to 10 years of age. The tournament welcomes 12 qualified teams emerging from preliminary qualification regional tournaments across Czechia and up to 12 invited international teams.
Applications for the Baseball Super Cup 2024 are currently open and the final selection of participating teams rests solely with the organizing committee.
The Baseball Super Cup 2024 adopts a dynamic format, featuring four groups of six teams each. The top two teams from each pool qualify for the final round. Teams that secure 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th places respectively engage in positional play-offs. The final pool, comprising the best 8 teams, engages in a modified double-elimination system, guaranteeing each team a minimum of 7 games over the three-day event.
At the heart of the Super Cup is Coach-Pitch Baseball, a progressive variation tailored for the U10 category. Teams benefit from the expertise of their designated adult pitchers.
The tournament also incorporates the Master Skills Contest, where players showcase their pitching, hitting, running, and infield teamwork prowess.
The combination of these elements determines the ultimate winner of the tournament.
The All-Star Game was introduced in 2022 with success. Designed to facilitate relationships across teams and provide an opportunity for players to experience a night game under the lights, the game features All-Star Team Czechia against All-Star Team International.
