Schedule Announced for the U-22 Women's Softball European Championship 2024

The schedule for the upcoming U-22 Women's Softball European Championship, to be held in Kutno, Poland, from August 5 to August 10, 2024, has been announced by WBSC Europe.

The U-22 Women's Softball European Championship will feature 17 teams competing across 66 games for the title of European Champion from August 5 to August 10, 2024, in Kutno, Poland.

All matches of the championship will be held at the European Center Malej Ligii in Kutno, Poland, home of the European Headquarters of Little League. The main field for the tournament will be the Edward Piszek Stadium, with Field 2 serving as the Softball Stadium and the Youth Field as the third venue.

The opening ceremony will be held at the main field on Monday, August 5, at 18:00.

The participating teams have been divided into five groups as follows:

  • Group A: Austria, Greece, Switzerland  
  • Group B: Croatia, Denmark, Israel  
  • Group C: Belgium, Finland, Poland  
  • Group Y: France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy  
  • Group X: Czechia, Ireland, Netherlands, Ukraine  

The playing system for the championship involves the top 8 teams from the previous championship placed in groups Y and X automatically qualifying for the second phase of the event.

The remaining 9 teams will be divided into three pools (A, B, and C) playing a single round-robin. The winners of these pools will also qualify for the semifinal pools X and Y.

The semifinal pools X and Y will play a single round-robin, followed by the Super Round Z. The bronze medal game is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, at 14:00, followed by the gold medal game at 17:00.

The Placement Rounds will determine the remaining spots in the final standings.
