Roberto Andolfi Appointed as Head Coach for Malta Women's Softball National Team

The Malta Baseball & Softball Association (MABS) appointed Italian coach Roberto Andolfi as the Head Coach for the Malta Women's Softball National Team.

The appointment of Coach Andolfi to the Maltese national squad comes as the team gears up for the Women's Softball European Softball Championship in 2024.

With a career spanning 35 years in softball coaching, Andolfi brings experience and expertise to the Maltese team.

Official preparations and training for the Malta Women's Softball National Team commenced last month under Andolfi's guidance. The coach has implemented a rigorous program aimed at honing the skills and capabilities of the Maltese players.

Over the next 11 months, the team will be participating in various tournaments abroad as part of their build-up for the highly anticipated WBSC Europe Championship.

In the previous edition of the Women's Softball European Championship held in Spain in 2022, the Malta Women's Softball National Team achieved significant milestones by securing their first-ever international wins. They triumphed over Finland with an impressive score of 17-3 and emerged victorious with an 8-0 win against Türkiye.
