In preparation for the Baseball European Championship 2023, the Dutch National Team engaged in three exhibition games against their Czech counterparts.
The weekend's action commenced with a closely contested battle in Game 1 between Czechia and the Netherlands. The Dutch squad secured a hard-fought victory, with the decisive run coming in the sixth inning, resulting in a final score of 0-1 in favor of the Netherlands.
Game 2 unfolded as Czechia sought redemption. The Czech National Team demonstrated their offensive prowess, surging ahead with four runs in the fifth inning, followed by an additional two runs in the sixth. The final score was 0-6.
In the third and final game of the Rotterdam Baseball Weekend, the Dutch hitters displayed their power, scoring one run in the fifth inning, another in the sixth, and two more in the seventh. Czechia managed to break through in the seventh inning, narrowing the gap to 2-1. However, the Dutch team surged ahead with two runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth, securing a final score of 1-6.

At the Baseball European Championship 2023, Czechia is slated to compete in Pool A alongside Spain, Austria, and Greece in the city of Ostrava, while the Netherlands will compete in Pool C against Ukraine, Croatia, and France in Brno.
