Eurobaseball 2023 hits five Czech cities: Ostrava, Třebíč, Brno, Prague, and Blansko

The Baseball European Championship 2023 will take place in four regions of the Czech Republic, featuring five cities as its hosts. Pool A will compete in Ostrava, while Pool B will battle it out in Třebíč. Brno will host Pool C, while Pool D will play their games in Prague.

Eurobaseball 2023 will unfold across the Czech Republic: Ostrava will be the battleground for Pool A, while Třebíč plays host to Pool B. The city of Brno will be the backdrop for Pool C, while Prague will set the stage for the games of Pool D.

Ostrava will host Group A of the Eurobaseball 2023, where home team Czechia will play Spain, Greece and Austria.

Thanks to the contributions of Ostrava and the Moravian-Silesian Region, the venue, home of the Arrows Ostrava, is undergoing gradual reconstruction and improvement.

Ostrava is a regular host city for major sporting and cultural events and in 2014 was voted European City of Sport. Ostrava hosted one of the groups of the Baseball European Championship in 2014 and regularly hosts European youth tournaments on the local Arrows pitch, the last one being the Junior Baseball European Championship 2022.

Group B, featuring Italy, Great Britain, Sweden, and Hungary will be played in the city of Třebíč, located west of Brno, in the Highlands Region.

The Třebíč Baseball stadium, home of the Třebíč Nuclears, has undergone modernization worth over CZK 20 million.

In 2016 and 2019, the Třebíč Baseball stadium venue hosted the Junior Baseball European Championships.

Brno is another host city of Eurobasebll 2023. Located in the southeast of the Czech Republic, Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic.

Group C will be played in Brno with the defending champions from the Netherlands, Croatia, Ukraine, and France.

Two ballparks in Brno will host Eurobaseball games: the Municipal Baseball Stadium in Brno, and the Hroch Sports Complex.

Group C games will be hosted by the Municipal Baseball Stadium in Brno, currently named YD Capital Arena. The YD Capital Arena will host also two quarter-finals, both semi-finals, the 7th and 5th place matches, and on Sunday 1 October, the culmination of the entire Eurobaseball - duels for European medals.

The second Brno baseball complex that will host Eurobaseball 2023 will be the Hroch Sports Complex in Jundrov. The play-offs, specifically the group matches for 9th to 16th place, will be played here from 28 to 30 September.

Brno was also the venue for the last Baseball European Championship, hosted by the Czech Republic in 2014, and the Junior Baseball European Championship in 2022.

Group D with Israel, Germany, Belgium, and Switzerland will be played in the Czech capital city: Prague

The tournament will take place in the Eagles Park, which has a lot of experience in organizing major events.

Eagles ballpark was home to the U-23 Baseball European Championship 2019, the Baseball World Championship group in 2009, and the first Baseball European Championship in the Czech Republic in 2005.

The fifth hosting city is Blansko, located 19 km north of Brno.

Blansko's Strawberry Field will be hosting two quarter-finals and the group matches for 5th-8th place and matches for the final place.

Blansko has a rich baseball history with its baseball team, Olympia, and previously hosted the Baseball European Championship in 2005.
