Teams are reminded of the following important deadlines and requirements:

  • Withdrawals: Any withdrawals must be filed or announced no later than May 1, 2024. Late withdrawals will incur a penalty as per TR 2.4.1.2 and 2.4.1.3.
  • Entry Fee Payment: The entry fee should be paid no later than May 31, 2024. Late payment will lead to a penalty as per TR 2.4.2.1.
  • Age Requirements: The age requirements for players have been changed to align with WBSC requirements – players must be 18 years old, born between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2011.
  • Game Officials: Every participating country should provide a WBSC Europe-licensed game official.

The Youth Baseball5 European Championship 2024 in Clermont-Ferrand is not just about winning the title of European Champions. It also serves as a crucial qualifier for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup in 2025. Success in the World Cup will secure coveted tickets for the Youth Olympic Games in 2026.
