Countdown to February 2025 for the Launch of the Indoor Women's Softball European Championship
WBSC Europe proudly announces the inaugural Indoor Women's Softball European Championship. This historic championship will take place from February 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Finnish Olympic Training Center in Kuortane, Finland.
Set to debut in 2025, the inaugural Indoor Women's Softball European Championship is scheduled to be held from February 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Finnish Olympic Training Center in Kuortane, Finland.
National Teams will compete for the title of Indoor European Champion for the first time.
The Indoor Women's Softball European Championship serves as a crucial platform for European teams to prepare during the winter months when most players struggle to compete at a high level due to the low temperatures.
The Finnish Olympic Training Center, with its facilities, will provide the perfect setting for this event. The facility has a full size football field and an additional practice area that together makes the grass area size an impressive 9828m² (102m x 68m).
With two indoor softball fields measuring 58 meters on the foul lines and 68 meters in the center field, along with a dedicated warm-up area, the venue is equipped to host a top competition.
The championship will be organized by WBSC Europe in collaboration with the Finnish Baseball & Softball Federation. The announcement was made during the WBSC Europe Congress 2024 in Malaga, Spain.
