The 2024 WBSC Europe Baseball Advanced Umpiring Clinic is reserved for the umpires that already officiated European competitions since 2023.
The Baseball Advanced Umpiring Clinic is designed for the WBSC Europe Baseball Umpires seeking to elevate their skills and learn from distinguished faculty including WBSC Europe Umpire Supervisors and esteemed professionals such as Mr. Larry Young (MLB Umpire Supervisor), Mr. Dan Merzel (MLB Call-up), Mr. Macon Hammond (MiLB AA), and Mr. Z Zidek (MiLB AA).

• Dates: February 15th-18th, 2024 (participants expected to arrive on the 15th before 18:00 and depart on the 18th after 13:00)

Fees:
• €125 for registration;
• €175 for lodging and meals;
• travel expenses to be borne by participants.
The clinic promises a comprehensive learning experience, blending classroom sessions with a predominant focus on practical, on-field training -with a special accent to game management and the three-umpire system.
Participants are expected to bring their full gear, as they will actively engage in officiating games, applying the acquired knowledge in real-time scenarios.
Spaces for the clinic are limited to 100 participants. In the event of reaching the limit, the selection will be based on the set key criteria. Umpires who did not officiate in a tournament in 2023 will have priority, followed by umpires who have given the most availabilities for the 2023 season to the WBSC Europe WBSC Europe Baseball Umpiring Committee.

After the application deadline on November 15, 2023, successful applicants will be promptly notified and required to pay the fees. Failure to adhere to the specified payment deadline will result in the forfeiture of participation in favor of the next qualified candidate.
