Established in 2019, the Women's and Men's Softball European Masters Cups have become a tradition for many European teams for players over 40 years old.
This edition of the Women's Softball European Masters Cup 2023 features eight teams. The participating teams include Cechie Carrots (CZE), Classic Bats Deutschland (GER), Classic Ladies (DEN/CAT), Diamonds (GER), Dutch Old Stars (NED), Gavà (ESP), Joudrs Praha (CZE), and Suisse Team (SUI).
Divided into two groups, the tournament kicks off with two days of round-robin matches on October 25 and 26, hosted in the Viladecans softball complex.
Starting Friday, the top four teams will start the battle for the medals and the lower-ranked teams will play for the final spot in the ranking.
The Men's Softball European Masters Cup 2023 brings together eight teams. The participating teams include Denmark Old Stars (DEN), Goya Team Rivas (ESP), Gubbs (SWE), Junior Alpina (ITA), Mambas Sant Adria (ESP), Prague United (CZE), Royal Greys Grizzlies (BEL), and Tunnellers Prague (CZE). The two groups will engage in round-robin matches on October 25 and 26, hosted in the softball field of Sant Boi.
After the round robin, the top four teams of the Men's Softball European Masters Cup 2023 will play a second round robin to define which teams will play the finals. Teams from fifth to eighth will play to define the final ranking.
The grand finale of both the Women's and the Men's Softball European Master Cup is slated for Saturday, October 28, at the Sant Boi field.
This event is reserved for players over 40. In 2023, the Softball European Master Cup marks its fourth year. Since its inaugural season in 2019, Barcelona has been the proud host of this event.
