Day 4 of the U-18 European Baseball Championship: Preview

Prior to an off day on Wednesday, the 12 teams in action at the U-18 European Baseball Championship in Hluboka and Ostrava, Czech Republic will return for the fourth of five days of the preliminary round on Tuesday with six games on the schedule.

In Group A in Hluboka most of the eyes will be on the evening matchup at 7pm between two undefeated teams with the Netherlands and Spain. The day starts at 11am with France looking to pick up win number three, while Austria is vying for the winning lane for the first time in the tournament. In the afternoon Great Britain faces Lithuania at 3pm, as the British hope to rebound from their tough loss to Spain on the day before, while also Lithuania hopes to break the losing streak.

In Group B in Ostrava at 11am undefeated Germany is facing Italy (2-1) in a key matchup for a spot in the semi-finals. At 3pm Belgium and Ireland both will hope for their first win in the event. In the evening at 7pm Czechia is trying to defend their clean slate against Israel, which is hoping to return to .500 with their second win this week.
