Three Women's Softball European Championships will take place in 2022, including the top event for the European softball season: the Women’s Softball European Championship.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe (WBSC Europe) announced the official schedule of the 2022 Women’s Softball European Championship, the U-22 Women’s Softball European Championship, and the U-15 Women’s Softball European Championship.

Starting at the end of June, the U-22 Women’s Softball European Championship will be played in Kunovice, Czech Republic. The U-15 Women’s Softball European Championship will follow in July, in Enschede, Netherlands, as a Qualifier for the next expected WBSC World Cup. The Women’s Softball European Championship will wrap up the Championship season at the end of July in Sant Boi, Spain.

The top event for the European Softball season, the Women’s Softball European Championship, is set to commence on July 24, 2022. Twenty-one teams are enrolled in the tournament and will represent their Countries having in view the title of European Champion for the 2022 season.

In 2022, the twenty-one National Teams will play on four fields in Catalunia Region in Spain from July 24 to 30, 2022. The bronze medal game is scheduled for 15:45 on Saturday, July 30. The Championship Game will follow at 18:00 when the 2022 European Champion will be crowned on Sant Boi field.

The title currently belongs to Italy, after the victory in the home fields of Friuli Venezia Giulia in 2021. Last year, the Italian Squad conquered their twelfth European Title, topping the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Championship Game, 5-9, and qualifying for the 2022 World Games.

Previously in the season, the U-22 Women's European Championship is set to take place in Kunovice, Czech Republic, from June 27 to July 2, 2022.

Seventeen National Teams, divided into four pools, will play the seventh U-22 Women's European Championship. The games are set to start on Sunday, June 26, on Kunovice field, when the home team Czech Republic will face the French National Team at 20:00.

Six days after, on Saturday, July 2, the Championship Game will wrap up the U-22 Women's European Championship on the main field at 18:00.

Italy holds the title after defeating the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the 2018 U-22 Women's European Championship in Trnava, Slovakia, 4-5.

After being earlier canceled in 2020, the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship is scheduled to start on July 18, 2022, in Enschede, Netherlands.

The European National Teams will battle for the title of European Champion over the course of six days. The ten enrolled teams have been drawn into two groups to start the tournament. The medal round is set for July 23, with the bronze medal game scheduled for 16:15 and the gold medal final at 18:30.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands previously won the U-15 Women's Softball European Championship in 2019, defeating the Italian National squad in Zagreb, Croatia, 2-0.

In line with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) task force to support the Ukrainian Olympic Community, the WBSC, WBSC Europe, and local organising committees will grant support to the Ukraine Baseball Softball Federation to cover a major part of the cost related to accommodation, board, and transport during its participation in European Championships in 2022.

WBSC Europe previously announce the programme for the first-ever U-23 Men's Softball European Championship scheduled for July 6 to 9, 2022, in Sezimovo Usti, Czech Republic.
