Seoul (Korea). Fans at the XXV 18U Baseball World Championship saw exciting games on the second day of first-round play on Saturday. In the morning Canada celebrated a second straight walk-off win at Mokdong, coming back against a strong Italian team, scoring the winning run in the ninth. Nearly at the same time Australia erased a three-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth, before falling down to Venezuela in the tenth.

18U BWC: Panama two-hits, two-runs Italy
In what has become, due to the postponement of Day 1 for bad weather, the opening match at the 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Panama defeated Italy 2-0, starring the starting pitcher Rigoberto Santamaria, who kept the Azzurri to only one hit for seven innings.
18U BWC: Team USA mercy rules Netherlands
Seoul (Korea). Team USA started with a lopsided 17-0 victory over the Netherlands into the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea. In the evening game at Mokdong Stadium they scored 16 of the 17 runs in the last four innings to blow the score wide open, highlighted by a big nine-run rally in the seventh. It was the first game, which ended early after seven innings due to ten-run mercy rule.
18U BWC: Chinese Taipei shuts out Czech Republic
Seoul (Korea). Defending champion Chinese Taipei won its first game at the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, Korea. In the evening game at Jamsil Stadium they shut out the Czech Republic 6-0 to celebrate a successful start. The European underdog kept the score in check throughout the entire game, but failed to get on the board despite a couple of good opportunities.
XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship finally under way
Seoul (Korea). After the rained out first day of the XXV IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship, competition at Jamsil and Mokdong Stadiums in Seoul, Korea started finally with six games on Friday. In Group A Australia opened the tournament with an easy victory over Colombia. In the afternoon Korea edged out Venezuela in a close duel. In the evening defending champion Chinese Taipei shut out the Czech Republic.
Venezuela upsets Cuba to win I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship
Chihuahua (Mexico). Venezuela upset Cuba in the Gold Medal Game of the inaugural IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Chihuahua, Cuauhtémoc and Parral, Mexico. The South Americans handed the heavy favorite its first loss in the tournament with a 10-2 blowout on Sunday evening at Chihuahua Stadium. Cuba had won all games prior to the final, including an 11-5 victory over Venezuela in the second round.

Chihuahua (Mexico). Cuba and Venezuela will play in the Gold Medal Game at the I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Chihuahua, Mexico. Cuba remained undefeated thanks to a walk-off victory over Mexico on Saturday evening. With the victory they also knocked off the host from the championship game, as they fell into a tiebreaker with Venezuela and Chinese Taipei.

The all-European clash of the second round of the I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship between Germany and Italy ended with a clean victory of the latter with a score of 16-6, but the game was in balance until the very last innings.

Chihuahua (Mexico). Cuba remains as the lone undefeated team at the I IBAF 15U Baseball World Championship in Mexico. The baseball powerhouse won a pitcher’s duel against Chinese Taipei on Thursday morning to improve to 3-0 in the second round, staying on course to reach the Gold Medal Game. Meanwhile their biggest opponent so far, Venezuela, stumbled over Mexico, losing for the first time after dominating with a terrific offensive performance before. In the third Group 1 matchup Brazil nearly blew a big lead against Nicaragua.
