The Vienna Wanderers are back-to-back Austria National Champions. The defending champions defeated the Crazy Chicklets in a best-of-three series winning the first two games.
In a very intense game one of the Austrian Softball Bundesliga, the Wanderers from Vienna topped the Crazy Chicklets, 17-18, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to take the lead in the series.
In the second game of the championship series, the Wanderers dominated, winning the game by mercy rule, 1-12, and the Bundesliga for the second year in a row.
The Vienna Metrostars triumphed against the Witches Linz to win the bronze medal.
Back in August, the Vienna Wanderers won the bronze medal at the Women's Softball European Cup in Avigliana, Italy.
