Entries open for Baseball5 European Championship 2023

Lithuania hosts the Championship as a Qualifier for the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup.

The entries for the 2023 Baseball5 European Championship are now open. The deadline for national squads to register is April 30, 2023. The Championship will be held in Druskininkai, Lithuania, in the 45th week of 2023.

The championship will be played as a qualifier for the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled for 2024. National squads across Europe are encouraged to participate in the championship.

This is the second time that Lithuania will host the Baseball5 European Championship. The inaugural event took place in Vilnius, with the French national squad taking the top spot followed by Lithuania, who won the silver medal. Both teams qualified for the first WBSC Baseball5 World Cup played in Mexico in November 2022.

The 2023 Baseball5 European Championship starting date will be defined depending on the number of entries, with the finals to be played on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

The championship is also a qualifier for the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024, an opportunity for teams to represent their countries on a global stage.

Last year, WBSC Europe organised the first youth Baseball5 European Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, where France won the title, Türkiye won the silver medal, and Lithuania finished third.
