History

Softball began to develop in the USSR in 1987. In 1992 was held the first Open championship of Russia . Since 1999, Russian national teams have won 28 European medals, including 6 gold. In the European Championships they took 2nd place in 2003, 3rd place in 1999 and 2007. The national team participated in the World Championships 2 times, the best place was 9th, the junior national teams of Russia took part in the world championships 4 times, the best place was 7th.
