U-22 Women's Softball European Championship 2024: Day 2 Results

Day 2 of the U-22 Women's Softball European Championship 2024, held at the Little League EMEA Training Center in Kutno, Poland, delivered a total of 12 games on three fields. Thanks to their victories, Austria and Israel secured a spot in the top 10 and advanced to the groups X and Y.

In the morning, the Netherlands defeated Ireland 7-1. Croatia secured a solid 8-0 victory against Finland, while Switzerland overwhelmed Denmark with a decisive 20-4 win. France secured an important win with a 6-4 victory over Great Britain. Austria their winning streak by beating Finland 11-1, and Israel defeated the host team by 9-2.

In the afternoon, another exciting game featured Ireland taking on Czechia, with Czechia narrowly winning 4-3. Croatia edged out Belgium in a close 10-9 game. The Netherlands maintained their unbeaten record by winning 6-3 against Ukraine.

Italy and France played a thrilling game, with Italy emerging victorious 10-7. Israel continued winning by defeating Switzerland 10-2, and Austria finished the day with an 11-1 win over Belgium.

Following today's games, Austria and Israel - both 3-0 - have advanced to the hroups X and Y of the U-22 Women's Softball European Championship 2024. Czechia, Italy, and the Netherlands remain undefeated as well.

Tomorrow, the top 10 teams will play to define the top six and the teams advancing to the next round: Austria, Czechia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, and Ukraine.

The remaining teams will play in the placement round: Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Poland, and Switzerland.
