Sixteen teams to take part in The Cup, an international indoor softball tournament held in the Netherlands
After a three-year break, The Cup, an international indoor softball tournament held in the Netherlands, will be back in Schiedam. Sixteen teams from Europe and the United States will play 48 games in 3 days.
Forty-eight games are scheduled from January 13 to 15, 2023, in Schiedam, Netherlands, for The Cup. The Cup is an international indoor softball tournament that counts over twenty editions.
Sixteen teams from the USA, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Sweden, and the Netherlands will take part in the 2023 tournament organised by Marielle Vleugels, Hans Vleugels, and Nancy van der Ham.
The games are scheduled starting Friday at 19.00, all the way to Saturday at 16:00. All games will be streamed on the SDTV YouTube Channel.
The games will be refereed by umpires coming from the USA, Belgium, Great Britain, and the Netherlands, under the guidance of the Dutch Chief Umpire Gerrit Jan van der Hoeven.

A clinic for the youth is organised alongside The Cup, under the guidance of the American Cup Teams' players and coaches. At the clinic, young softball players will learn more about hitting, backhand and forehand fielding, base running, sliding, diving, and more.
