Baseballeurope.tv marks a significant step toward professionalizing the sport, delivering
broadcasts to fans.
A crucial aspect
to succeed in attracting a larger audience is to constantly raise the quality of
production and how we present our sports. Each year, large investments will be
made by WBSC Europe and our partner Joymo to enhance the production quality of
tournaments. Our cooperation with Joymo and Pay-Per-View income are key factors
that enable us to make these investments. We have started to make these
investments already during this ongoing season as well and hired a streaming
manager to help Local Organising Committees with their streaming setups and
issues.
Organizers can
receive funds to upgrade streaming equipment, loan equipment, and hire needed
resources to ensure a progressive improvement in the viewing experience.
This commitment
to quality underscores WBSC Europe’s dedication to offering fans a viewing
experience and elevating the overall perception of the sport.
By delivering
high-quality broadcasts of top-tier competitions WBSC Europe aims to captivate
a global audience and elevate the prestige of European baseball and softball as
the most active continental organization within WBSC.
As more fans
from around the world tune in to watch events, so does our opportunity to grow
the sport. Marketing campaigns, social media promotions, and strategic
advertising will significantly increase the visibility of these events.
High-quality
productions and visibility are crucial to ensure the long-term growth of our
sports. Revenue generated from Pay-Per-View and Event passes goes directly back
into growing the sport.
The capital fans
contribute is reinvested into enhancing production quality, increasing
awareness, and ultimately boosting participation. This model ensures that every
fan’s contribution helps to support and expand the sport they love.
It is also vital
that games and tournaments can be found easily from one location: baseballeurope.tv
People will soon
start recognizing it as the home for our sports in the net. With this approach,
we will get better results than through uncoordinated efforts where our games
are scattered on various different platforms.
While baseballeurope.tv is currently focused on consolidating the European Cups and
Championships, the vision for the platform extends far beyond its current
scope.
It is poised to
become the definitive home for European baseball and softball content, where
National Federations, event organizers, clubs, and teams will have the
opportunity to add their live and non-live content, creating a home of European
baseball and softball action - as well as creating new revenue sources for
Member Federations and their associated clubs, teams and leagues.
Now we are
streaming most WBSC Europe events already on this platform and are ready to
start streaming national competitions from all European countries. The more
content we provide via this platform, the easier fans and other people
interested in our sports will find their way there.
WBSC Europe will
be happy to connect any National Federation and club with our partner Joymo, to
negotiate their own Pay-Per-View deal and start funding their organization.
Through
investments, marketing, inclusion, and a commitment to quality, WBSC Europe
aims to elevate the sport to new heights. Revenue will be reinvested into the
sport, ensuring continuous growth and the delivery of content to fans.
"The launch of baseballeurope.tv marks a significant milestone in the professionalization and promotion of baseball and softball in Europe. This platform not only brings our top competitions to a wider audience but also provides crucial funding to improve the sport at all levels." said Kruno Karin, President of WBSC Europe. "By consolidating top-tier competitions and investing in high-quality production, we aim to deliver a viewing experience to fans. Importantly, revenue generated through our Pay-Per-View and Event Passes will be reinvested into the sport, supporting its growth and ensuring that every fan’s contribution makes a difference."
