Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Greece won their Qualifiers and are completing the field of 16 teams of the 2021 European Baseball Championship to be played next September in Italy.

Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Greece won their respective European Baseball Championship Qualifiers and complete the field of teams of the 2021 European Baseball Championship which will be played in September in Italy.

Hosting its Qualifier in Moscow, Russia went undefeated in the round robin and punched its ticket for the European Baseball Championship with a 3-1 victory over Belarus in the final on July 4.

At the same time Ukraine was defeating host Serbia in Belgrade 9-5 in the final game of their Qualifier to punch the second ticket of the day.

The day before, on July 3, Greece overcame host Lithuania to qualify with a 8-4 win in the final while Slovakia defeated Ireland 12-2 to join the European Baseball Championship.

Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Greece are joining the 12 participants of the 2019 European Baseball Championship to the newly 16 teams extended 2021 European Baseball Championship which will be played in the Piemonte Region from September 12th to 19th:

  • Group A: host Italy, Austria, Belgium, Greece
  • Group B: Spain, Croatia, Germany, Ukraine
  • Group C: Israel, Great Britain, France, Russia
  • Group D: The Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia
