Wesseling Vermins (GER) started the day strong with a 5-2 victory over SC Neptunus (NED). Meanwhile, Rivas Madrid (ESP) continued their solid run by defeating Joudrs Praha (CZE) 4-1.
Vienna Metrostars (AUT) secured a 3-1 win against Wittenbach Panthers (SUI). As the afternoon progressed, Wesseling Vermins faced off against Softball Forlì (ITA) but fell short with a 5-2 loss.
The Mix (GBR) had a commanding performance against Beveren Lions (BEL), with a 12-5 victory, and ended the tournament on a high note. The day concluded with a tightly contested match between the two Dutch teams: Neptunus and Olympia Haarlem. Olympia Haarlem secured a 9-7 victory. Notably, this was the first game of the tournament for the defending Champions which was not decided by the run difference rule.
Tomorrow's finals of the Women’s Softball European Premier Cup 2024 will feature a highly anticipated showdown for the bronze medal between Wesseling Vermins (GER) and Rivas Madrid (ESP), set to begin at 13:00 in Buttrio.
Following it, the championship game will see Italposa Forlì (ITA) and Olympia Haarlem (NED) face off at 16:00, in a thrilling rematch of the 2022 final, to determine who will be crowned European Champion.
