Princ Zagreb is at the top of the Softball Euroleague's leaderboard after the second weekend of games

The second weekend of the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague 2023 took place in Érd, Hungary on April 22 and 23. Five of the seven teams competed in this round of games. Trnava Panthers and Jánossomorja Rascals made their first appearance in the Euroleague this weekend.

On Saturday, April 22, the Jánossomorja Rascals (HUN) faced off against the Érd Baseball és Softball Club (HUN) on field 1. The game ended with the Jánossomorja Rascals winning 13-8.

In the second game of the day, Medvednica (CRO) took on Trnava Panthers (SVK) in a close match that saw Medvednica come out on top with a score of 12-11. The Trnava Panthers played their second game of the day against the Érd Baseball és Softball Club but were unable to secure a win, losing 13-15.

On Sunday, April 23, Medvednica played their second game of the weekend against Érd Baseball és Softball Club, losing 12-15.

On field two, the Jánossomorja Rascals faced off against Princ Zagreb and were defeated 5-20.

Then, Trnava Panthers faced off against Princ Zagreb (CRO) and emerged victorious with a score of 13-6, while Medvednica played their third game of the weekend against the Jánossomorja Rascals and won with a score of 12-2.

On the last game of the weekend, Érd Baseball és Softball Club played against Princ Zagreb but lost by a narrow margin, with a final score of 7-8.

After the weekend's games, the current standings in the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague 2023 are as follows: Princ Zagreb is at the top of the leaderboard with four wins and one loss, while Érd Baseball és Softball Club is in second place with four wins and two losses. Medvednica is in third place with two wins and two losses, followed by Apollo Bratislava with one win and two losses. Trnava Panthers and Jánossomorja Rascals both have one win and two losses, while Lady Pirates have yet to secure a win this season.

The next weekend of games for the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague 2023 is scheduled for July 1st and 2nd in Trnava, Slovakia. The teams will have a chance to push for better standing with six more games to go before the finals in September.
