Five categories will play the Pony League Baseball and Softball European Zone Championships Tournaments in 2023: U-12 baseball, U-14 baseball, U-16 baseball, U-16 softball, and U-18 Baseball.
The Pony League Baseball and Softball European Zone Championships Tournaments are organised by PONY Baseball and Softball, an international organization that provides youth baseball and softball programs in different countries around the world.
In 2023, the PONY U-14, COLT U-16 Baseball, and COLT U-16 Softball European Zone Championships Tournament will be played in Prague, Czech Republic.
The tournament features 38 teams from different countries. Three tournaments are scheduled for the respective category, the U-14 baseball, U-16 baseball, and U-16 softball, all taking place from April 20 to 23, in Prague, Czech Republic.
Organizers at Prague will be pleased to welcome Mr. Kruno Karin, President of WBSC Europe, and Petr Ditrich and Gabriel Waage, representing both sports, baseball, and softball. The opening ceremony will be attended by Mr. Bijan Sabet, US Ambassador in the Czech Republic.
Later in the spring, Stuttgart, Germany, will host the PALOMINO U-18 Baseball category from April 26 to May 1.
The tournaments in Prague and Stuttgart will be attended by Mr. Abraham Key, President and CEO of the PONY League.
The BRONCO U-12 baseball will be played in Gijón, Spain, from May 26 to 28.
The city of Bordeaux in France will host another tournament for the COLT U-16 Baseball.
Winners of all tournaments, except tournament the COLT U-16 Baseball organised in Bordeaux, France, will qualify and represent Europe in their category at the Pony World Series in the USA, where the best teams from around the world compete.
PONY Baseball and Softball's goal is to provide experiences in youth baseball and softball that will help young people grow into healthier and happier adults.
In 2022, PONY Europe welcomed 34 teams from 12 countries in Prague, Czech Republic. Last year, the German Baseball Academy (GER) triumphed in the COLT U-16 category and the London Archers (GBR) won in the PONY U-14 category. As for Softball, the winners of the COLT (U-14) category were the home team Eagles Prague (CZE), and the Piranhas Beroun (CZE) prevailed in the KRCANDA PONY (U-16) category.
