Just 30 days from now Denmark and Mexico will take the field in Prince Albert to open the XII WBSC Junior Men’s World Championship. The first pitch of the event is scheduled on 7 July, 10:00 a.m. local time (17:00 p.m. CET), at field 1 of the Prince Albert’s Max Power Ball Parks.
World No. 9 Italy and No. 17 Venezuela played last weekend the Coppa Aldo Majer, in the Francesco Nespoli diamond of Caronno Pertusella, Italy. The host team took the title for run difference, since the series ended tied at one game, with two extra-inning matches.
Caronno Pertusella was one of the venues of the European Pro Softball Series earlier this year. The ‘azzurre’ are playing their last 2 games in preparation to the WBSC Softball World Championship, set to start in Chiba (Japan) on Thursday, 2 August
The Organizing Committee of the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship 2018 will launch tomorrow (2 June) the global tickets sales for the Playoffs and Placement Round games of the tournament
More than 300 junior men’s softball players from four countries competed in three different categories during the Mike Stapleton Memorial tournament, held in Prague.
The official promo video has been released for the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2018, which will be staged in the U.S. for the first time this August.
The goal is promotion of the game in the Country and in Europe. All Gold League and First Division clubs are participating. A total of 16 team played in the first round. After 2 more rounds in July, the best 2 teams will compete in the final on 15 August
Czech Softball announced last weekend the official schedule of the Intercontinental Softball Cup, to be held in Prague from August 28 to September 1. The organization unveiled also the official website of the tournament both in Czech and English languages.
“Since the launch of the 5×5 version of baseball and softball in February, we received responses that exceeded our expectations by far” commented WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari “It looks clear to me that we need to adjust our initial plan”
Media registration is now open for the XII WBSC Junior Men’s Softball World Championship 2018 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. The registration deadline is Friday, 15 June.
