Olympian Greta Cecchetti will have the honor of opening the tournament on behalf of WBSC Europe during the Softball European Massimo Romeo Youth Trophy Opening Ceremony.
As part of this special occasion, Greta will deliver a speech about her softball journey. Her words will be a "player to player" message, offering encouragement and inspiration to the young athletes.
In addition to her role in the Opening Ceremony, Greta Cecchetti, together with her cousin, teammate, and fellow Olympian Elisa Cecchetti, will lead a session titled "Journey to Olympic." Scheduled to start after the Opening Ceremomy for both players and coaches, offering a glimpse into the lives of Olympic athletes.
During this workshop, the Cecchetti aces will share their personal journeys to becoming Olympians. They will discuss the dedication, challenges, and triumphs they experienced as they pursued their dreams. This session will provide invaluable lessons not only about what it takes to reach the highest levels of the sport but also about the realities of life as an elite athlete.
Following their talk, there will be an interactive Q&A session where players and coaches will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the Olympians.
