The WBSC Europe Executive Board approved the nominations for the WBSC Europe Baseball Umpiring Committee: Marco Screti (ITA) will lead the Committee, serving as Director of Baseball Umpires, Židek Zdenek (CZE) will work as the executive of the Committee, while Makouchetchev Serge (FRA) will be in charge of the assignments.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be working alongside WBSC Europe for the betterment of baseball umpiring” said Screti. “We have been working behind the scenes to bring a feasible plan to the table that will leverage our excellent officiating community to become stronger and more resourceful both in the short and long term. The full support of the WBSC Europe leadership team ensures that our plan will bring unseen success and quality to European Baseball Umpiring.”
