Italy and Czech Republic will play the bronze medal game on Saturday, July 30. The winner will qualify for the first stage of the WBSC Women's Softball European Championship.

The two teams playing the bronze medal game of the Women's Softball European Championship on Saturday, July 30, will be Italy and Czech Republic.

Italy defeated Spain to secure a spot in the bronze medal game of the Women's Softball European Championship. Both of the starting pitchers, were in control of the game, not allowing runs until the fourth inning when Italy was the first to get on the board. With runners on first and second base, Princic Elisa hit a pop on the third base. A catching error allowed the first run for the Azzurre.

Italy returned the favor, and Maria Caicoya, on a bunt, reached second. An RBI single by Candela García brought Caicoya home to tie the game.

The tie did not last long, as at the change, Italy scored four runs thanks to a grand slam by Elisa Cecchetti, taking the partial score to 5-1.

In the bottom of the sixth, after one run scored by Longhi, with bases loaded, Mc Kenzie Barbara sent one over the scoreboard to end the game 10-1.

In a game irrelevant to the game results, Czech Republic defeated Great Britain in five innings, 9-0. The Czech squad took the lead in the first, scoring twice, and added one more in the second and five more runs in the third to make it 8-0.

After a scoreless fourth inning, Ema VODIČKOVÁ opened the inning with a triple, and Magdaléna KAVANOVÁ brought her home with a hit to score the ninth run: the final result of the game.
