Israel wins the Palomino PONY U-18 Baseball European Zone tournament in Stuttgart, Germany

The Palomino PONY U-18 Baseball European Zone tournament was held in Stuttgart, Germany, from April 26 to May 1. This event saw eight teams from five different countries - Austria, Germany, Israel, Lithuania, and the Netherlands - compete against each other.

Israel emerged as the champions of the Palomino PONY U-18 Baseball European Zone tournament. The winners secured their place in the Palomino PONY League World Series, held later this summer in the Laredo, Texas, USA.

The European Zone tournament consisted of eighteen games, played over the course of six days, starting on April 26 and ending on the first of May.

The championship game saw Israel National Team take on the hosting team Stuttgart Reds. Israel emerged victorious with a scoreline of 8-2.

The other teams that took part in the tournament were the East Austrian Academy, Future Stars Academy U18 1, Future Stars Academy U18 2, Lithuania National Team, Netherlands Baseball United, and North State Warriors.

Abraham Key, PONY Baseball and Softball President and CEO, Jan Bagin, PONY Europe Director, André Fink from the organizing club of Stuttgart Reds, and other guests attended the event.

The month of April also saw the PONY U-14, COLT U-16 Baseball, and COLT U-16 Softball European Zone Championship Tournaments take place in Prague, Czech Republic. German Academy won both baseball tournaments, while Eagles Praha emerged as the softball champions.
