Fourteen national teams will take part in the first-ever U-17 Baseball5 European Championship. The teams will not only compete for the title of European champion but also qualify for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled for 2023.

The U-17 Baseball5 European Championship will feature fourteen national squads: Belgium, home team Bulgaria, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Netherlands, Romania, and Türkiye.

Each team will consist of a maximum of 8 players born between 2005 and 2009: a maximum of 4 female and a maximum of 4 male athletes being Baseball5 a co-ed discipline.

The teams will compete in the prestigious location of the Sofia Sports Hall from November 16 to 19.

The schedule is yet to be announced.

In 2020, at the first Senior Baseball5 European Championship, France won the gold medal, followed by Lithuania, silver medallist, and Russia, bronze medallist. France and Lithuania qualified for the first WBSC Baseball5 World Cup, which will take place in November in Mexico.
