The Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague is back on the weekend

The second tournament of the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague will be played in Hungary from April 30 to May 1, 2022.

The Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague will be back over the weekend, in Hungary, when the teams will take the field for the second tournament of the League.

Seven official games and three friendly games will be played over two days. Games are scheduled to take place on two fields starting 10:00 on Saturday, April 30, 2022, in the morning. The Budapest Red Wolves (HUN) will play the Trnava Panthers Softball (SVK) on field one, and the Jánossomorja Rascals (HUN) will face Princ Zagreb (CRO) on field two.

The first phase of the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague took place in Zagreb, Croatia at the end of March. The Croatian club Princ Zagreb is leading the group with four Wins, Apollo Bratislava (SVK) is following (2 W and 1 L) tied with the Croatian Medvednica (2 W 1 L). Another Croatian team is the following, Lady Pirates (3 L), tied with the Budapest Red Wolves from Hungary (3 L).

Trnava Panthers Softball (SVK) and Jánossomorja Rascals (HUN) have yet to take the field and will make their debut over the weekend.

After the weekend games, the Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague will take a break to resume in July and in September, for two more tournaments in Slovakia. The winner will be crowned on September 4 in Slovakia on the last date of the 2022 Central Europe Women’s Softball Euroleague.

The Softball Euroleague is a fastpitch competition for women and juniors played at cross border regional level. It was played in Central Europe for six years in a row from 2014 to 2019 and then suffered a two-year break due to covid-19 in 2020 and 2021.
