Draci Brno outlasts Eagles Praha in wild game to open week six of the BECC on Monday

Draci Brno outlasted the Eagles Praha 11-6 in a wild game on Monday evening to open week six of the first round at the Baseball European Champions Cup 2024. With the win Draci improved to 4-2, while the Eagles Praha dropped to 0-6. The Guggenberger Legionaere Regensburg (4-1) and VOITH Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (3-2) close out the first round at 19:00 on Wednesday.

Draci Brno celebrated their fourth win in six games in the Baseball European Champions Cup 2024 with an 11-6 slugfest against the Eagles Praha, which remained winless after six games.

In a back-and-forth battle Brno scored twice in the first and fifth, as well as three runs in the third and four in the seventh inning. The Eagles scored in five of the first seven innings, but failed to generate a big inning to turn the game around.

Martin Kalabek, Milan Prokop and Alex Monsalve combined for seven hits, including four home runs, nine runs scored and seven RBI for Draci. Matous Bubenik went deep for the Eagles.

Jan Vasourek earned the win with five strikeouts in 3 1/3 solid innings of relief. Vasko Kolev took the loss for Praha.
